Sitting here
In this uncomfortable chair
I think about many things
If I truly love this song
Or character
Or page
I have to wonder why I sit here
Every day.
Only to get up to quiet my rumbling stomach
Or to feed others what they buy
I think about the days that I could spend outside
Frolicking in the sky
Or on a concrete path
I speak to online companions
Watch videos with laughing babies
Or read a fanfiction that is horrible in every way
I'll sit here and write a page or ten in a story
That truthfully should have ended
But I have to wonder why
Why I don't find a loved one
To share our tiny dreams
Only hoping that they'll c
